ScratchJr
Available as a free app on an ipad, iPhone or any Android device, with ScratchJr, young children (ages 5-7) can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.
She Can Code
An initiative developed by Digital Future Aotearoa for TechWeek 2018, this project, now in its third year, challenges young coders to achieve the UN’s sustainability goals through design thinking.
Hour of Code
Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code, to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.
Computer Science Field Guide
An online interactive resource for high school students learning about computer science. This guide was initially developed as an online interactive textbook to support the new achievement standards in Computer Science that were being rolled out in New Zealand (2011-2013), and is now being adapted for use all over the world. The New Zealand project started in 2012, with the first materials released to the public in 2013.
CS Unplugged
CS Unplugged is a collection of free learning activities that teach Computer Science through engaging games and puzzles that use cards, string, crayons and lots of running around. It was developed so that young students could dive head-first into Computer Science, experiencing the kinds of questions and challenges that computer scientists experience, but without having to learn programming first.
Computer Science Crash Course
The team at Crash Course have produced more than 15 courses to date. Crash Course transforms the traditional textbook model by presenting information in a fast-paced format, enhancing the learning experience.
Gamefroot
Gamefroot users learn creative coding, design thinking and experience the thrill of publishing content like real game developers. All resources are based on solving real industry problems and learning coding concepts from the New Zealand curriculum.

Tinkercad is a free online collection of software tools that help people all over the world think, create and make. Works well as an introduction to Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software.
